Compared with modern synthetic medicines, you may suffer from one issue and be prescribed medication to treat that particular problem. However, when being treated with herbs, you would more than likely be given at least two herbs to take, and in combination, these herbs will be aimed at balancing multiple functions at the one time.
Every human being is unique, and although our bodies have the same body parts, we function at different paces and our make up is varied. For example, when two people are diagnosed with a disease, although it may be labeled the same, the diagnosis is very general and symptoms, treatments, and even results will be different. This factor applies whether the patient is treated with conventional drugs or herbal treatments.
Take an example of kidney stones. There are four different kinds of stones, and the stones can be located in a number of places within the urinary tract system. One particular treatment would not be effective in all cases.
One specific herbal treatment is extremely successful in about 80% of kidney stone cases - because about 80% of kidney stones are the one type of stone. Unfortunately if the patient falls in the minority, the other 20%, the standard herbal remedy may probably do nothing to assist him/her.
Home remedies and alternative treatments often mean a slower process in healing. In comparison to modern medicine where a doctor is consulted, a tablet is given and the treatment is done, alternative therapies are purely natural, and treatment is done with a holistic approach, cleansing the various parts of the body which may be causing the initial problem.
Using the above example of kidney stones, the herbal treatment is a little slower, but the patient may not even notice the stones passing from the system, which is usually extremely painful with modern drugs. Herbal therapies will actually cause the stones to break up and dissolve inside the body.
These pages will cover many, many alternative therapies to the majority of illnesses or disorders, so please bear with me as I develop the pages for you.
